Wedding vows

The wedding vows are promises made by the bride and groom to each other during a wedding ceremony. In Western culture, this pledge has traditionally included the notions of affection (love, comfort, keep), faithfulness (forsaking all others), unconditionality (for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health), and permanence (as long as we both shall live, until death do us part). You can chose to write your own wedding vows, rather than relying on standard wedding vows samples.

I give you my life to keep…

I, (Groom’s/Bride’s name), take you (Bride’s/Groom’s name), to be my wife/husband, my partner in life and my one true love.

I will cherish our friendship and love you today, tomorrow, and forever. I will trust you and honor you, I will laugh with you and cry with you. Read the rest of this vow »

Love has no beginning and no ending

To achieve a warm rich life we now look forward to

I will share your dreams…

With these rings we unite our hearts in tenderness and devotion

Loving what I know of you, trusting what I do not yet know

I used to be afraid of love
